Invoking her most popular slogan of “Same is not same”, H.E. Rosemary Seyamule cut teeth with Tanzania’s with Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) and the government system to groom leadership from the ruling party’s hierarchy.
As a faithful leader, H.E Sayamule’s aspiration is to implement CCM
party’s election manifesto to stir up developments in Same district that
would change the “Lives” of her subjects.
Hosting a group of investors from both Tanzania and the USA, at her office yesterday, the Same District Commissioner articulated government’s policies and plans for investments to spawn efficient skilled labor force for both industries and services sector.
Same as the district would be the “HUB” of trained skilled labor force that would provide expertise to other regions of Tanzania and outside its border.
The group of investors from the USA and Tanzania paid a courtesy visit to the district commissioner in line-with her government’s initiatives to attract direct investments to Same.
She briefed the group about the plan to develop the Master-Plan for investors that would make Same the Switzerland of East Africa due to its potential to provide Paragliding/Parasailing based on Sports Tourism.
Same has the same scenery like Switzerland where the Alps mountain attract score of thousands tourists throughout the year. Same has the highest point where you can observe Mount Kilimanjaro clearly.
Her governments plan is to develop infrastructure that would make it easy for tourists to comfortable enjoy the scenery of Same city.
Cultural Tourism, one of the governments “Cash Cows” would be a motivating force in Same’s long term plans.
The USA group hinted that it would direct investment portfolios that would focus on the cutting-ege of education as a focal point.
Basing on the vocational and higher education, Same would transform into a major skilled labor force for Tanzania industrialization that is targeting the country to become a middle class economy by 2053.
The inherent values of Same district is its wealth of several natural resonances from Mkomazi National Park to gemstones, arable land for major commercial farming and attractive educational base.
It is its strategic position with a seat on the Cape Town to Cairo highway that makes this developing district of Tanzania a major investment destination in East Africa.
There would be more consultation with the USA group and also plenty of work to be by the government to realize Same’s aspiration as the Investment HUB in East Africa that would enable it to export skilled-labor and accommodating thousands of educational enthusiasts.
